Creased is a 2d platformer starring Kami, a living square of paper, with the power to fold into various origami forms with distinct attributes and abilities that aid in the exploration of handcrafted levels and in the goal of making wishes come true through the collection of paper cranes. Play levels within four unique worlds built around a crafty paper aesthetic. Creased will feature tried and true platforming gameplay along with an enthralling story, and exciting environments to explore along the way.

Story

A mysterious evil has plagues Kami's world, and only the gods have the power to reverse the damage. But as Kami awakens to this wickedness, he learns that he is the only one that can stop the madness that is preventing the goddess' children from folding. By collecting 1000 paper cranes Kami may be able to save his world by using his power to wish for change. But what dangers will Kami face once he embarks on his quest for the lost Wish Shrine?

Kami's Forms

Each forms allows Kami to traverse the land in invigorating new ways. Though some places may only be accessible through perfectly timed "form swapping."

	Base Form	Base form Kami can run and jump around the world of Creased, but his limited abilities will only get him so far.
	Crane Form	Kami's first obtainable form is Crane form. By swapping into this special form, Kami is able to soar across the land and jump five times higher than his regular form. The Crane form is exceptional at reaching high nooks and crannies. But for Kami to understand the true abilities of the Crane folders, the only way... is up.
	Dog Form	After the Crane form Kami may become one with the Dog form, the fastest known form in the whole land. On the ground and in the air this form can help Kami dash across dangerous canyons and deep waters. Dog folders used the dash ability for many generations as a way to explore new parts of the frosty, frigid mountains.
	Turtle Form	Kami's third form takes fold as a Turtle. Perhaps the slowest of the five, Turtle Kami can quickly navigate hidden underwater realms that were previously inaccessible. In the Creased world, Turtle folders are known for their strength and ability to penetrate even the strongest of barricades... something Kami must learn to control if he wants to keep up.
	Frog Form	The final form Kami's creases create, is that of the nimble Frog. This form allows Kami to jump and stick to certain walls so he may reach those little spots that even the alluring Crane could never reach. The Frog's jump allows Kami to scale surfaces and tread his way through the grassy swampland of the Frog folders. Though, something mysterious lies beyond the Frog Village.

We are a team of six Game Design students from DePaul University. Creased was our 4th year (senior) capstone project, allowing us to showcase our talents and what we learned after four hard years of designing! We hope you enjoy the game.
